Accounting Manager

We are looking for an Accounting Manager, a fulltime position reporting to the Senior Accounting and Finance Manager. In this high-energy, fast-paced position, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for the following:

Managerial Tasks:

  • Oversee and manage month-end closing operations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and the general ledger.
  • Establish and execute daily and monthly procedures.
  • Maintain various accounting software systems and fixed-asset register.
  • Review and analyze balance sheet account reconciliations and multi-state sales and use tax compliance.
  • Query and extract data for analysis and forecasting.
  • Evaluate and explain monthly variances and journal entries.
  • Work with accounting firm on tasks ranging from tax to audit.
  • Assist Senior Accounting and Finance Manager in the preparation of financial and cash flow reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Two to four years of progressive accounting experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Two or more years supervisory experience with a minimum of two direct accounting reports
  • WIP/POC experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of collateral instruments (i.e., letter of credit, UCC filings, and personal/corporate guarantees)
  • Ability to prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks with a high level of organization
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks accordingly and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Exceptional quantitative/analytical skills with strong understanding of reconciliations, consolidations, lease reports, balance sheets and forecasts
  • Superior verbal communication skills in explaining and examining forecasts and variances as well as interacting with members of Accounting Manager’s team and upper-level management.
  • Consolidations and intercompany P&L eliminations experience a plus
  • Good people skills, ability to manage, motivate and discipline if necessary
  • Capable of building a world-class accounting team
  • Positive attitude; not easily flustered, motivated team player, looking to succeed
  • Proficient skills with MS Excel, ERP, Word, and Crystal Reports

Salary will be based on experience and is comprised of a base salary and a performance-related bonus. AEE Solar offers health insurance (including dental, vision, and a flexible spending account), a 401k plan, and paid vacation, sick days and holidays (11).
