Several additional training options are available to AEE Solar Dealer Conference attendees.
SEI Training Workshops - AEE Solar will host 2 Solar Energy International (SEI) training workshops in Mesa – a Beginner Grid-Tie PV class before and an Advanced PV class after the dealer conference. Both are 5 days long and offer valuable hands-on education. Another Beginner Grid-Tie PV class will be 6 days long and will take place in Tucson immediately following the conference. Completion of these SEI courses fulfills the education requirement for NABCEP certification.
Andy Black Sales and Marketing Training - Andy Black will conduct his very popular one day Solar Sales and Marketing course on Feb 16, and his Economics of Solar: Making the Financial Case course on Feb 21.
Southwest Windpower Training - Southwest Windpower will offer its popular Skystream Wind Generator training class on Feb 13-17. This is the first wind generator intended for grid-tie applications. Students will learn sales, siting, and installation skills.

SEI's PV Design course is accredited by the Institute of Sustainable Power (ISP) and helps fulfill one of the requirements for national photovoltaic certification. Southwest Windpower Skystream Wind Generator trainingSouthwest Windpower is presenting two training options to meet the needs of both new dealers and experienced (previously trained) dealers.
Option 1: New Dealers
This is a complete Skystream dealer training course, covering all aspects of wind generator sales, installation and service. The course includes substantial technical information on site selection, tower selection and installation, Skystream troubleshooting and repair, and communication. One day of the course is held outside, at which time students will assemble and raise a Skystream on a tilt-up tower (using the Skylevel system). The combination of classroom training, hands-on exercises, and field experience is intended to provide dealers with all the information needed to successfully bid, sell, site, install and support wind energy.

• Pre-installation requirements, such as permitting and wire sizing and foundation considerations
• Tower options, selection and installation
• Skystream installation in both grid-connected and off-grid, or battery backup, configurations

Option 2: Existing Dealers
This is the siting and technical service (troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair) portion of the training. This update class is a requirement for dealer re-certification.
Requirements: You must have previously completed a 2.5-day Dealer Training Seminar presented by Southwest Windpower.
